At a distance of about 50 km from Helsinki and 7 km from Porvoo, Finland's second oldest town, Hotel Haikko Manor is easily accessible.

Haikko Manor as such is an excellent place for staying some extra days for leisure at the Baltic Sea.

The organisers and Hotel Haikko Manor will assist participants in making their own arrangements for tourist excursions, e.g., to the towns of:

Porvoo     |       Kotka        |     Lappeenranta          
Savonlinna - (Savonlinna Opera Festival)     |       St. Petersburg, Russia (350 km)            

Depending on the participant's interest, a scientific excursion can be organised to the Viikki Life Science campus and the Biocenter of University of Helsinki.

ARRIVAL and DEPARTURE

The programme is planned to start in the late afternoon, July 1. Please make your own travel arrangements (SEE TRANSPORT) planning to arrive in Helsinki airport, Finland, latest at 15 pm (July 1). The organisers will provide transport between the airport and Haikko Manor.

Departure is planned for Wednesday morning, July 5, starting at 8 am. Times can be adjusted according to the participants' needs.
