At present, novel therapies are being designed against proteins encoded by genes that are genetically or epigenetically altered in cancer or against components that mediate their biological function.
in this promising setting, gaining knowledge on the complete set of tumor suppressor genes implicated in cancer development as well as the understanding of their biological role and the interconnection with other biochemical pathways is essential.

The main goals of this workshop are to discuss novel findings in our understanding of the biological pathways to which tumor suppressor are involved, advances in clinical management of cancer families and identification of novel tumor suppressors. |
