Workshop

European Molecular Biology Organization

6 - 9 May | 2010 |Camogli-Portofino Vetta | Italy

Programme

Topics

Guidance molecules involved in cancer (such as Ephrins, Semaphorins, Netrins, VEGFs, etc), their receptors and signalling mechanisms.

Role of guidance molecules in regulating tumour cell migration, invasion and metastatic dissemination, as well as growth/survival, self-renewal and differentiation.

Role of guidance molecules in controlling the development of tumour vasculature and the recruitment of regulatory stromal cells in the microenvironment.

Programme

The general idea is that speakers’ sessions will be "concept-oriented", in order to allow a good mix of presentations dealing with different signalling molecules controlling the same process (e.g. tumour cell migration, angiogenesis, etc.).

Departures

Each session will include: long talks (invited speakers) and short talks (selected Abstracts)

There will be two poster sessions.

Posters will be on display during the entire workshop in coffee-break room, close to where the speakers’ sessions will be held.

The social program includes a boat trip to nearby San Fruttuoso Abbey, Camogli and Portofino villages.

After-Programme

A day trip to visit the famous and enchanting enclave of Cinque Terre will be organized at the end of the Workshop, for those interested,

on Sunday May 9th (enquire for details and reservation).
