If you arrive by plane, the closest airport is Heathrow, but Gatwick also has a regular bus service with Oxford. From Stansted, the journey by public transport is considerably longer.

St Anne’s college is located on Woodstock Road, which is a 10 minute walk from Oxford’s central coach station (Gloucester Green bus station), and 20 minutes from the train station.

- from the coach station: look for the Beaumont Street exit, turn right on Beaumont Street and walk to the end of the road. Then turn left onto St Giles; this road will split into two, continue on the left hand road, which is Woodstock Road. You will find St Anne’s main entrance on your right, just before Bevington Road.

If you wish to take a taxi then:
- from the coach station, follow signs to the taxi rank (50 metres away, through a passage between the shops/buildings which the coaches face, and across Gloucester Green square) and then ask to be dropped at St Anne's College Porters' Lodge, on Woodstock Road or if you prefer to
-  from the railway station, taxis are available directly outside; ask to be dropped at St Anne's College Porters' Lodge, on Woodstock Road.

Weather & Clothing:
The weather in August is pleasant, with temperatures averaging between 16-21C (60-70 Fahrenheit), with cooler evenings.  Bring light rain jacket and umbrella, and warmer clothes for layering.  Getting around in Oxford is easiest on foot. Some streets in Oxford have cobbles, so comfortable shoes are recommended!
