The island of Ischia is situated in the Gulf of Naples at ca. 45 min. by hydrofoil (aliscafo) or 1.5 hours by ferry (traghetto) from the port of Napoli. The island is internationally renowned and has excellent hotels and restaurants.
During the Workshop (in October) Ischia is not crowded, meaning that hotels and restaurants are affordable also for relatively small pockets. Weather conditions are generally still nice, though a pullover will be needed in the evening.
The Park Hotel Miramare, proposed as workshop venue, is located in Sant'Angelo d'Ischia, a small village, away from the hubbub of the major ports of the island, but easily reached by local taxi or bus.
All the participants will be housed close together, giving them the opportunity to interact during the Workshop.
