Special rates have been arranged for accomodation and dinner of meeting participants and accompanying persons

with the following rates:

Double room:                 220  €                                                              
Single room:                  320  €

These values include the room for 4 nights (Arrival 15th to Departure 19th March), breakfast and dinner, except the meeting dinner on the 18th Mar 09, which is optional (30 €).

A number of FEMS grants will be available to support the attendance of young scientists. For more information click here.
Post-Docs will not be considered students.
Students must send proof of their status (letter from supervisor or institution).

Registration fees are in euros and include taxes

The registration fee for regular participants and students includes:

- Book of abstracts
- Lunch and coffee Breaks
- Guided visit to Convento de Tomar
- Bus transportion to and from the Hotel dos Templarioss and Lisbon airport

The registration fee of accompanying person includes:
- Lunch and coffee Breaks
- Visit to Convento de Tomar
- Bus transportion to and from the Hotel and Lisbon airport

Registrations will close on the 15th December and payment has to be received by the 9th January 2009.

ABSTRACTS

Oral presentations
Oral communications will have a duration of 30 min (plenary), 20 min (regular) or 15 min (selected abstracts), plus 5 min for discussion. Please, follow strictly the scheduled time!

The meeting room will be equipped with a PC, running Windows Vista with Office 2007 and a Macintosh, running on Mac OS 10 with Power Point 2004.
All presentations will be displayed using a VGA graphics projector. Personal laptops will not be allowed to connect to the VGA graphics projection system.

Please bring your presentation in a USB flash drive.

Your presentation should be delivered to the organisers:

· For the morning sessions, no later than 5 pm of the previous day;
· For the afternoon sessions, no later than 1:30 pm of the same day.

Poster presentations

Posters dimensions : 90 x 110 cm (portrait).
Poster sessions will be held after dinner, but posters will be displayed during the whole meeting. All the necessary materials to fix posters will be available.

Some poster presentations will be selected for oral presentations, and a prize will be awarded to the best poster.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received before 30th Jan 2009 will be subject to an administrative charge of 30%. It will not be possible to offer any refunds on cancellations received after that date. A substitute participant will be welcomed at no extra charge. All refunds will be issued after the Symposium. Refund requests must be submitted to ismsm@itqb.unl.pt
