About the Workshop
*** Final programme (pdf)now available for download
The aim of the workshop is to attract people that work in the field of cell death research in different model organisms such as yeast, C. elegans, zebrafish, drosophila and mice, to identify and discuss unifying patterns of cell death regulation across species. |

The principal theme of the workshop is therefore to discuss current findings on different forms of cell death, obtained in the most commonly studied animals models and the definition of genetic and biochemical criteria for different forms of cell death.
An additional focus of the workshop will lie on the identification signalling pathways/molecules, triggering cell death that are accessible for therapeutic intervention to define novel approaches that will help to cure human diseases that are associated with cell death defects, such as cancer or neurodegeneration.
