Transport

Metro
The Metro of Porto (www.metrodoporto.pt) connects the airport and the metropolitan area of the city with departures every 20 minutes. To go to Porto you have to take the Linha E (Violet Lane) and get out in the Casa da Música (www.casadamusica.com). The Casa da Música stop is located in the Avenida Boavista (Boavista Avenue) and is 10-15 minutes walking distance, alongside the Avenue, from Hotel Sheraton and Congress Venue (www.feaa.pt). The price of one-way ticket is about 1.5€.

Bus
There are several Bus services (www.stcp.pt) that connect the Porto airport and several locations within the town. The organization recommends you to take the AeroBus that connects the airport to every major Hotel in town, without stops, every 30 minutes. You must tell the driver which Hotel you go to. In case you flying with TAP the trip is for free and you should show your boarding ticket to the driver. Otherwise, the price of one-way ticket is about 1.5€.

Taxi
Taxis are properly identified and have a taximeter indicating the final fare of the trip. The cost between the airport and the center of Porto is about 25-30€ (for up to 4 people), but may be increased by 10% if you have outsized baggage and by 20% at weekends and after 21.00h. All taxis have to emit a receipt or “factura” upon request.
