Transport
The Vienna International Airport connects Vienna with the world - many important European Cities such as Berlin, Frankfurt, Rome, Zurich or Milan can be reached within an hour or more.
Taxis
Taxis from the airport to the city cost about 30€ and are easily available at the airport.
Public Transport
There is a new high speed train service (CAT) which goes from the airport to the city centre (opposite the Hilton Hotel). Tickets cost 16€ (return) and trains run every 30 mins. This is strongly advised during peak rush hour times.

Shuttle Bus (public bus) to “Schwedenplatz” and “Südbahnhof and Westbahnhhof”. The shuttle bus station is located outside the arrival hall and departs every 20 minutes. Tickets are available on the bus and also at machines. Tickets are 6€ per person (one way).

Travel by car
Austria's motorway network extends right into Vienna, making it convenient and safe to reach the city by car from anywhere in Europe. Toll stickers are required on all vehicles on Austria's motorways and highways! Stickers can be obtained from the Austrian Automobile Clubs as well as post offices and gasoline stations. Please note that stickers are also available in Austria's neighbouring countries at gasoline stations, at borders as well as Automobile clubs.
