The theme of this Conference will be mechanisms of membrane and protein traffic through the late secretory pathway.

This meeting will focus on protein-protein and protein-lipid interactions reactions that drive the secretion machinery. The goal of the 7th Annaberg EMBO Workshop is to gain a more complete understanding of protein sorting, organelle identity, vesicle formation and fusion which will identify new paradigms that serve as a foundation for future research in fundamental cell biology and their underlying roles in human disease. To achieve these objectives, the worshop will bring together junior investigators and established researchers working on distinct aspects of the late secretory pathway, both in animal and yeast cells.
