From Europe: There are two options: |
a) Change planes at Athens airport, there are about 10 daily flights from Athens to Heraklion. |
b) Since the touristic season will already have started in May there is a good chance to find a direct non-stop charter flight to Heraklion from many central European countries. |
c) Easyjet offers direct nonstop flights from London. |
From the US: There are a couple of nonstop services to Athens from JFK (Delta), Newark (Continental), Atlanta (Delta), and Philadelphia (US Airways). So the easiest thing is to get onto one of those and then continue from Athens for the short 35 minute hop to Heraklion. |
