19 - 30 July | 2010 | Sheffield| United Kingdom

Transport

By Air: The city of Sheffield is within easy reach of Manchester International, Nottingham East Midlands, Robin Hood Doncaster-Sheffield, and Leeds-Bradford Airports, all of which are approximately one hour away by train or by car. Manchester Airport is particularly well served by many domestic and international carriers and has a direct rail link to Sheffield both day and night. Both London airports (Heathrow and Gatwick) are reasonably accessible by rail with just one change of train. We recommend that you allow at least four hours travel time between either of these airports and Sheffield.

By Rail: Sheffield is at the centre of the UK railway network. Regular services operate between Sheffield and London St. Pancras (2.5 hours), Birmingham (1.25 hours), Leeds (1 hour) Manchester (1 hour) and Nottingham (1 hour).
There is a direct link from Sheffield Railway Station to the Sheffield Station Supertram platform via the main overbridge at the station. The Supertram will take you directly to Sheffield University campus. Train times between Sheffield and elsewhere in the UK (including Manchester Airport) can be found at:
