1 - 13 February | 2009 |Berlin | Germany

Programme (outline)

General considerations

- Principles of the SOLiD, Illumina and 454 sequencing technologies
- Mapping of short sequence reads to the genome

Transcription factor target analysis with ChIP-Seq

- Chromatin immunoprecipitation of human transcription factors using HEK293T cells
- Preparation of ChIP libraries for sequencing on the Illumina Genome Analyzer
- Data analysis (identification of DNA-bound regions and transcription factors binding sites)

Transcriptome profiling with RNA-Seq

- Preparation of sequencing libraries for sequencing on the Illumina Genome Analyzer
- Data analysis (gene expression levels, novel transcripts, repertoire of alternative splicing events)

Bioinformatics

- Storage, management and analysis of large sequence data sets
- Data vizualisation on genome browsers

A more detailed programme outline will be available at a slightly later date.
