Transport

The VMS is one of the fifteen laboratories that make up the CNRS campus in Gif-sur-Yvette, a small village located 30 kms South West of Paris, in the Vallée de Chevreuse. The best way to come to Gif-sur-Yvette is to take the French transportation RER B (inside Paris it is like a METRO line).

From the Paris airports

Roissy/Charles de Gaulle: Take the RER B, direction Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse, till Gif-sur-Yvette. It will take you about 1 h 30 from Roissy/Charles de Gaulle to Gif-sur-Yvette.

Orly: Take the metro line ORLYVAL from Orly to Antony station and there the RER B, direction Saint-Rémy-les-Chevreuse, till Gif-sur-Yvette. It will take you about 55 min from Orly to Gif-sur-Yvette.

 

   

From the RER station in Gif-sur-Yvette, follow the map below. It takes about 20 mins walk to reach the "Entrée du CNRS" where you will find a notice board.
