"Plant cell biology "

18th - 24th June | 2006 | Wageningen| The Netherlands

Target group

The course is aimed at both Ph.D. students and postdoctoral fellows.

Ph.D. students should have at least one year research experience in one of the plant science disciplines. The course is especially designed for those who plan a project in plant cell or developmental biology, but others may attend as well.

From our earlier experience, we expect a demand for this course that is higher than the number of participants we are able to accommodate. Therefore, preference will be given to those students/scientists who will profit the most from this course, judged from their research interests.

A total number of 16 students (4x4) will be admitted to the course.

The deadline for application is 1 March 2006.

Selection of the applicants will be based on scientific merit, need, and interest.
A larger number would make the intensive exchange of knowledge impossible. This is true for both the lectures and round table discussion together with the invited lecturers and even more so for the practical part, since students are encouraged to bring their own plant material.
Applicants from other than universities and research institutes will be admitted upon thorough evaluation of the benefit of their participation.

Application will be possible for students from all member states of the European Molecular Biology Conference. A limited number of applications is allowed to come from other countries.
Most participants will be from countries other than the Netherlands.

There is no registration fee for this course. We will cover costs for registration, accommodation, meals and course material. Travel costs and personal expenditures are not covered.
