This intensive Course on ‘‘Systems neuroscience of the Drosophila larva: genetic and circuit bases of behavior’ will be held in July 2010 at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, TIFR Bangalore, India. 

The series of lectures and demonstrations will address the basics of neuroscience, development and behavior and will introduce participants to outstanding questions in   neuroscience that can be answered using the Drosophila larva as a system.   

We encourage applications from senior graduate students and post-doctoral fellows, particularly those who are interested in pursuing neurobiology as a future career. 

The course will be supplemented with introductory tutorials in order to enable participants from other streams of the natural sciences (physics, chemistry, mathematics) who wish to undertake interdisciplinary studies.
