Molecular Mechanism of

Protein Transport

1 - 8 December| 2010 | NCBS (TIFR)| Bangalore| India

About the Lecture Course

The Principle theme of the lecture course is to discuss the molecular mechanism of protein transport

It is clear that protein transport is essential for intra cellular compartmentation and inter-cellular communication.

Moreover, receptor tyrosine kinase signaling in cancer, secretion of hormones and neurotransmitters, endocytosis of signaling receptors, secretion of proteins required for cell attachment, angiogenesis and immune surveillance are just some of the examples that require the function of tightly regulated exocytosis and endocytosis.

This lecture course will provide the basic foundation in protein transport, cover modern topics, outline future directions and technological advances in this area which will help the young scientists in choosing their future research plans.

We look forward to seeing you in Bangalore!
