The Spetsai Summer course on Host-Microbes Interactions is a high level international course which provides young scientists (Ph.D. Students and Young Post Docs) a chance to be in contact with internationally recognized science leaders within a different and unique framework.
The program includes lectures on a variety of topics such as:

	• major bacterial pathogens
	• commensalism
	• biofilms
	• small RNAs and RNA mediated regulation
	• métagenomics
	• insect vectors
	• innate immunity

Tutorials on DNA sequencing technologies, imaging and three special EMBO lectures including one Science and Society lecture and one EMBO Young Investigator lecture are new features of this course.
Students from different backgrounds (classical microbiology, cell biology, medicine, etc.) are encouraged to apply.
