Travel by Plane

Lisbon International Airport is the nearest airport to Sesimbra.

There are direct daily flights to Lisbon from most capitals in Europe and from many other cities.

The following shuttle services will be available between Lisbon and Sesimbra.

Sunday 26th September, from Lisbon airport to Sesimbra:

1st shuttle service: 09h30
2nd shuttle service: 12h30
3rd shuttle service: 14h30
4th shuttle service: 17h00
5th shuttle service: 19h30
Final shuttle service: 23h00

These are approximate departure times from the airport.

A representative from the taxi service will be at the meeting point behind the ice cream stand at the airport, with a banner saying "EMBO Course Sesimbra".

To find the meeting point turn right when you come out into the Arrivals Hall.

Thursday 30th September, from Sesimbra to Lisbon airport:

1st shuttle service: 06h00
2nd shuttle service: 08h00
3rd shuttle service: 10h00
4th shuttle service: 13h00
Final shuttle service: 16h00

To travel by car from Lisbon to Sesimbra take the A2 motorway (south). Drive for 20 km and take the exit to Sesimbra (N378).

Stay on the N378 for another 20 Km to reach Sesimbra. Follow signs to Hotel do Mar, it is located near the beach and close to the center of the village.

From Lisbon Airport to Sesimbra

Option 1:
Take bus nº5 from the airport to Estação do Oriente.
The ticket (1,40€) may be purchased from the driver as you board the bus.
Take the Metro to Praça de Espanha (0,80€).
In Praça de Espanha, take the bus TST 207 to Sesimbra - it takes around 60 minutes.

Option 2:
Take bus nº44 or 45 from the airport to Cais do Sodré.
The ticket (1,40€) may be purchased from the driver as you board the bus.
Take the ferry boat from Cais do Sodré to Cacilhas, Almada – it takes around 20 minutes.
In Cacilhas, take the bus TST 203 to Sesimbra – it takes around 55 minutes.

Option 3:
Take Bus nº5 from the airport to Estação do Oriente.
The ticket (1,40€) may be purchased from the driver as you board the bus.
Take the train from Estação do Oriente to Setúbal – it takes around 50 minutes.
In Setúbal, take the bus TST 230 to Sesimbra – it takes around 55 minutes.

These routes can be taken in reverse to return to Lisbon airport from Sesimbra.
