About the Conference
This second EMBO Conference of the series “Signaling in the immune system” will explore the nature and complexity of intracellular and intercellular signals which determine lymphocyte development and differentiation.

Focus
The conference will be focused on the mechanistic and topological orchestration of signaling by antigen receptors and costimulatory receptors, and their integration with the cytokine receptor networks which drive lymphocyte committment to a specific lineage or differentiation to a specific type of effector.

Understanding these processes is probably the most daunting task in modern immunology, requiring the development of highly sophisticated formal modeling and experimental tools.
