Excursion to Dubrovnik

“Those who seek paradise on earth should come to Dubrovnik.”
George Bernard Shaw

We're going to organise a half day tour to Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik is one of the most beautiful medieval cities on the Mediterranean.

First we visit island Lokrum by Boat Astral from Cavtat old port.

We will then take part in a guided tour of Dubrovnik city.

Island of Lokrum is situated in front of the Old city.

On the island there is a Botanic garden with tropical and subtropical plants. On the highest peak there is a Fort Royal built in a shape of five pointed star by French army in 1806.It gives a magnificient view of Dubrovnik, Cavtat and the island itself.

Walking through pathways you can easily reach the old Benedictine monastery preserved and partly restored into the Maximilian of Habsburg palace in 19th century.

On the island there is a small lake linked with the open sea, called Mrtvo more - Dead Sea.

Dubrovnik is on the UNESCO’s list of World Cultural Heritage.

The tour begins on the west side of the city, across the bridge guarded by a statue of Saint Blaise, through Pile Gate and down to the elegant main street and its most important sights: Franciscan Monastery, Onforio’s Fountains, Sponza Palace, Orlando’s Column, City Bell Tower, Church of St. Blaise, the city’s patron saint, Rector’s Palace – the seat of the Reublic and the Cathedral. (Entrance fees to the Rector’s Palace and the Franciscan Monastery are included.)

At the end of our walking tour we go back by bus to Hotel Croatia.

In case of bad weather we’ll take part in a Dubrovnik panorama & walking city tour, by bus.
