Autophagy is a tightly regulated catabolic process required for recycling of cytoplasmic components and organelles, and the clearance of intracellular pathogens.

It plays an important role in cell differentiation, development and adaptation to environmental stresses such as starvation.

We hope to see you in Ascona!
